The company was formed in 1997 by Howard Jones, offering a high quality third party service to Gerbercutter users.

In 1999 the company became the UK & Eire distributor for OptiTex and in 2000 became a distributor for Aeronaut Automation.

Since then Automated Cutting Room Room Services has gone from strength to strength and are now UK agents for Algotex, Prodim (Proliner 3D), Touchcad, Somerra as well as a major distributor for Aeronaut Automation.

The company provides services both in the UK and Offshore and has supplied customers, performed installations and service in many parts of the world, including Ireland, France, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Spain, Portugal, Canada, Macedonia, Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Malta, Morocco, Egypt, UAE, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, New Zealand, Peru, Barbados, Vietnam, Hong Kong and China.
